things that i'm doing

So I've got lots of stuff going on.. from school, to gorenoir.com magazine, to lucky fuck clothing promotion to making my own kids book.  I've got so many things I'm juggling I barely have time to blog.  But you know what I'm going to do?  Yep you guessed it!  Add another project to my plate!  This project however will help me pay for all the other projects so have no fear!  This blog will be going through a change and will become a part of that project.. birthday/christmas

If you know me you'll know I never ask for birthday or christmas presents, but this year I'd really like to get a memorial tattoo and some of my right fore arm filled out for my bday and christmas. Any amount will help and I'll probably dig into my empty pockets and give myself a present as well.

gore noir gone magazine!

Gore Noir is undergoing a metamorphosis from a caterpillar to a butterfly.. We are looking for talented people who want to be involved with this beautiful change.  We'll still be doing photoshoots but we'll be more focused on putting together a bad ass MAGAZINE!  Yep you heard it.. Hooters, pitchers of beer, bowling alley bar, universal life church, marriage, new years bar wedding..  What do all of these things have to do with each other you ask?  Well that's a funny story!  The night started off at the local bowling alley bar that my friends and I frequent, where my friend Paul, his GF Robyn, and Nadir drop by and surprise us!  We end up leaving the watering hole and head over to a newly opened Hooters just a mile away to "check it out".  The fries were okay but who cares about that?  It's about drinkin' beers and staring at hooters right?  The "scenery" wasn't too bad.  (but having gone after this most of the scenery was actually trainers for the new staff)  We close out the Hooters and aren't done drinking yet so we get beer and head back to my friend Mike's house.  By this time we're all pretty much drunk as a skunk, and Paul and Robyn inform us they are getting married, that they have the license they just need a minister to sign it.  Me being quick on my toes I remember the online ordination process!  5 minutes later guess who's a Minister?  Yep!  Yours truly!  We do a drunken wedding and they're married! 

Waking up the next day I get a text from Paul saying he wants to hang out on new years and do a better and less drunk (ya right!) wedding in the city (San Francisco).  We all meet up and proceed to get drunk again on New Years. (I mean who doesn't get drunk on new years?)  At a little before midnight they have me do my song and dance (I really didn't dance that just a figure of speech) and they do their New Years Wedding kiss and TADA!  Mitch has officially performed his first wedding!  So who wants a crazy sideburned Minister to do their vows?  Great rates!  HAH!

So I've been writing for a long time now..  Maybe since I was 12 or something like that.  Where some of my writing has gone I do not know, but I've managed to put together a good amount of what I do have and I've been planning on putting together a book.  I've even went as far as to have one of my notebooks typed up!  Why am I not published right now you ask?  Well it's a little evil gremlin called Sloth and it always strikes me at the most un-opportune moments.  All these typed short stories, poems, and ideas just sitting on my hard drive doing nothing but taking up megabits of space.  Trust me I will get it together and make something happen with it in the near future!  Until then take a gander at my book cover to the left!

Justin & Megan getting bloody

So yesterday (wed July 4th) was a photo shoot for my photo group I started called Gore Noir.  Gore Noir is basically an outlet for my blood loving tendencies and taste for the macabre.  Taryn of Missy D Photography is a wonderful photographer and always captures exactly what I have in mind when I'm planning these things out. (although I admittedly don't always have the full concept formed all the time)  For yesterdays shoot I called on my friends Megan and Justin (see picture to left) to play the role of young girl and axe murderer respectively.  I did some quick makeup on Justin (didn't do too bad of a job either!) and we were on our way to getting bloody! 

The whole concept was basically we were watching Megan inside the house unsuspectingly being watched through the window by our axe murderer Justin.  The murderer knocks her out and brings her back to his "lair" where she wakes up and gets the business end of our murderers axe.  The whole thing was really fun and came out quite well.  Click on the link above and check em out!  The next shoot we have planned will be with a new found friend who can breathe fire.. stay tuned!

selling out? or buying in?

I've never really been the blogging type of guy..  Although I do love writing down my thoughts and I update my facebook a million times a day for attention..  So this is me selling out!  Lucky you right?  Now you get to read all the bullshit that I'm thinking on a regular basis.  If you don't enjoy cynical, spiteful, hateful, misanthropic ramblings I'd probably suggest you find some other poor schmuck to read..  You've been warned.......
